Giorgos Peikos

I am a tenured member of the Laboratory and Teaching Staff in Science Education at the Department of Early Childhood Education, University of Western Macedonia, Greece (2026–present). My research interests include Artificial Intelligence in Science Education, the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Teaching and Learning Sequences, Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Education, Conceptual Change in Science Education, and the use of Augmented Reality in educational settings.

Doctoral dissertation: "Phenomena and Concepts at the Nanoscale: Issues of Teaching and Learning in Primary Education."
I received a State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) scholarship for doctoral research (MIS-5000432) for a period of 36 months.
2024–2026. Postdoctoral Research at the Department of Primary Education, University of Crete.
Research topic: "Artificial Intelligence in Science Education: The Use of Generative AI Tools in Instructional Design."
